Imaginative Education offers a completely different way of conceptualizing how we "do" education in terms of using psychological and cognitive characteristics of students as a foundation for making lessons engaging. It takes a little bit to wrap your brain around these ideas because they are different from the standard way of thinking about teaching, but it is well worth it because if you use these techniques, kids will learn.

The obvious activity for this page would be to make up a lesson along IE lines. The really neat thing to do would be to take the most boring piece of the curriculum and see if you can create an IE plan that makes it interesting.
